Cascada has formed a partnership with one of the most innovative factories in South America; a small independent factory in the Bolivian highlands which has revolutionised the manufacturing process of Llama and Alpaca fibres. Using techniques to separate the soft inner fibres from the coarse outer fleece, it has developed the world’s first (and patented) de hairing process, producing the softest Llama in the world – Cashllama™, our signature textile, and Royal King Alpaca.

Cashllama™ is a uniquely light, soft, warm and durable fibre with the luxurious feel and luminous qualities of the more familiar cashmere. Due to CashLlama’s hollow fibre and thermal qualities, it is lighter, stronger and warmer than cashmere or wool.

Unlike other fibres, Llama is one of the world’s most sustainable fibres. Llama fibre is an all-natural, biodegradable fibre that is harvested with minimal damage to that environment and the llamas that produce it. It does not require chemicals in processing or production as it comes in an array of natural colors that are rich looking, all-natural, and won't fade. It is a truly sustainable and unique animal.
