| Cascada is an exclusive eco textile label, working with Bolivian artisans to hand craft luxurious products out of the world’s finest and softest llama wool, Cashllama™. Cascada was launched after Robyn Gibbes and her partner travelled to Bolivia in 2003 and fell in love not only with the spirit and culture of the people, but by the unique qualities of their textiles. The chance discovery of Cashllama™ textiles, led Robyn to the Bolivian highlands where she has formed a partnership with one of the most innovative, ecological and socially responsible factories in South America. This small independent factory has revolutionised the manufacturing process of Llamas and Alpacas creating the softest Llama in the world – Cashllama™, Cascada’s signature textile, and Royal King Alpaca. Cascada’s mission is to create beautiful products while actively helping the Bolivian people and making a direct impact on their personal lives. Working directly with local llama farmers, artisans and suppliers, Cascada is able to build long relationships and ensure the local community gains income and opportunity. |
